Latitude Pilates

Movement without restrictions through body awareness, a strong core, and flexibility

Welcome

Latitide Pilates studio Latitude Pilates, located on the far west side of Madison WI, is a boutique studio that offers instruction in Pilates mat and on state-of-the-art Pilates equipment such as the Studio reformer, Allegro 2 reformer, combo chair, trapeze table, CoreAlign, and Pilates Arc.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and will be designed to meet your body’s individual needs. You’ll dive deeper into your Pilates practice and leave feeling and breathing better and in better alignment.

Pilates

Pilates is an inventive system of mind-body exercises that evolved from the principles of Joseph Pilates. Practitioners use a floor mat or equipment to dramatically transform the way their body looks, feels and performs. Pilates builds strength without excess bulk and can help you create a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen. Pilates will assist in helping you become more aware of your body, improve your posture, flexibility, agility and economy of motion. And it can even help lessen back pain.

Pilates can be practiced by anyone, of any age, in any condition.

Pilates can help you to achieve a strong core, lean muscles, and flexibility.

Pilates emphasizes quality movements, proper breathing, and spinal/pelvic alignment.

Pilates exercises every area of the body, even your ankles and feet. Unlike some workouts that can overwork some and underwork other areas of the body, Pilates strengthens the whole body equally. It will help you move better in daily life and other sports with less chance of becoming injured.

Stacy Wilcox

Stacy - Latitude PilatesI became a Pilates instructor to share my enthusiasm for Pilates with others and help them see the positive impact it can make on their bodies and health. Nothing makes me happier than to watch my clients develop better body awareness, a stronger core, and increase their flexibility. Pilates is an outstanding form of exercise that can be done by anyone, regardless of age or condition.

I have trained with Marissa Lins, owner of Midwest Pilates Institute and Madison Pilates in Madison, WI; and Virginia Nicholas, M.A., R.N. owner of Pilates Core Integration and Moving Breath Pilates in Tempe, AZ. In January 2009, I successfully completed the 450-hour Pilates Core Integration Comprehensive Teacher Training program. In 2013, I gained my NPCT certification. My training also includes taking various Pilates workshops with other instructors from across the country.
